Lynn
Birks, grew up in the Pacific Northwest area and led an
outwardly normal life. Always interested in art, Lynn decided
to pursue an art degree at Pacific Northwest College of
Art in Portland Oregon after high school but dropped out
because it was an overpriced clone factory of crap.
Several jobs later, some quite exotic, Lynn began working
on art alone and held her first show at the now defunct
Sit & Spin of Seattle Washington in 1998. Unsucessful,
but undaunted, she continued to piddle with drawing and
painting until meeting Joe Graziano and becoming brainwashed
by his model kit building ways. The outwardly normal life
then fell away to be replaced by the outwardly abnormal
life of a model kit geek. Lynn has won several awards both
locally and nationally for model kit buildups as well as
the respect and admiration of guys in this “boy’s
club” hobby. Lynn continues to work on model kits,
drawing, painting and her collection of model hearses and
other funeral related matter. She also adores sci-fi, Farscape,
and fuzzy kittens. Joe and Lynn married in September of
2003.
